*******WATER UPDATE******

For the next few months, KCL will be replacing old, worn-out water meters. This is a fairly quick process, and the contractor will check to see if the resident is home before changing out the meter to ensure there is no water being used in the house.

It is typically a quick change out and depending on what is encountered, should take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. If they find other problems, it could take longer.

A little air may get into your system, so you may hear that air release when you run the water after the meter change, but it will clear up shortly after use. You could also see sediment, but that should clear up quickly as well.

If you have any questions, please call the office 360 352 4787 or email office@scottlake.net

It is not anticipated that the water system will need to be shut off.

UPDATE: WEDNESDAY FEB 7, 2023

UPDATE – WEDNESDAY FEB 8, 2023 – KCL is replacing the valves today at Site 1 – Treatment Plant. You may experience low water pressure, and/or a bit of sedimentation in your water. You can use your water today. If you have sediment in your water, please run the outside hose bib, and give the office a call or an email and let us know in case of any extra water usage during this time.

Sometime during the week of February 7-10, 2023, our contractor, KCL, will work at the wellhouse to replace a couple of valves that are not functioning properly. The exact day is dependent upon weather and their other work demands.

***Once SLMC knows the exact date, we will post it. ***

It is not anticipated for there to be an impact to the system, but there could be some reduced pressures or sediment could be stirred up.

If you experience any impacts, please let the office know. If you find sediment in your water, please flush your service line by letting the water run until it clears up and let the office know so we can adjust water charges if needed.

The best place to flush is at a hose bib close to where the water service enters your house.

Thank you for your patience.
