Water Update – June 19, 2025

All emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance related to the water system have been completed, and water service has been restored to the affected areas following today’s shut-off. A boil water advisory is currently in effect. We will stay in contact with Northwest Water Systems to obtain the test results as soon as they are available. Once we obtain this information, we will promptly inform you through the RNS system, our Facebook page, and our website.

Just a reminder that when water is turned on and off during work on the system, it may stir up sediment. Water Outage Impact – June 16, 2025

Due to a break in the system that was discovered on Blooms Court today, the scheduled work that was to be performed today has been rescheduled to begin tomorrow.

On Tuesday, June 17th, and on Thursday, June 19th, there will be localized water outages throughout the system. A Boil Water Advisory will be in effect from Monday, June 16th, until the lab results come back satisfactory, which is anticipated to be on Friday, June 20th. It is essential to prepare for a potential water shortage during this period; therefore, please be prepared for limited water access on those days.

While certain sections of the system may remain operational, the reliability of the system’s functions and shut-off may be unpredictable. A comprehensive Boil Water Advisory is being implemented due to our aging and deteriorating infrastructure, which may result in rapidly changing conditions.

For updates, please check the RNS system, our website, or our Facebook page.

Just a reminder that when water is turned on and off during work on the system, it may stir up sediment. If you notice sediment in your water, we recommend running a faucet or hose bib outside your property until the water runs clear. If you need to do this and have extra water usage on your next monthly invoice, please let us know. You will not be charged for the extra water fee.

Boil Water Advisory has been Lifted

We are pleased to announce that the precautionary boil water advisory has been formally lifted. Following comprehensive testing, NW Water Systems has provided confirmation to SLMC that the most recent water sample has yielded satisfactory results, thereby indicating that the water is now safe for consumption and daily use.

Beginning June 16th, localized water outages will occur throughout the system on Monday, June 16th, and Wednesday, June 18th. A boil water advisory will be in effect from June 16th until laboratory results demonstrate satisfactory water quality, which is anticipated by Friday, June 20th. It is essential that you prepare for a potential water shortage during this period. Although certain sections of the system may remain operational, the reliability of the system’s functions and shut-offs may be unpredictable. A comprehensive boil water advisory will be implemented, as our infrastructure is aging and deteriorating, which may result in rapidly changing conditions.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this essential safety procedure. Please be advised that turning the water supply on and off during this operation may result in the disturbance of sediment. Should you observe sediment in your water, we recommend running a faucet or hose bib outside your property until the water clears. If you must undertake this action and subsequently notice an additional water charge on your next monthly statement, kindly inform us. Please be assured that you will not incur any additional water fees.

If you have any questions, please call the office at 360-352-4787.
