Town Hall Meeting – February 10 @ 6pm

The Board of Trustees want to have a get together at the community center on February 10th at 6pm. We will also have Zoom enabled for those that can’t make it in person. We’ve dedicated 2 hours for this Town Hall.

We won’t have an agenda for this meeting. The purpose is for our community to come, get to know us, ask the hard questions, and get some answers. We want to be as transparent as possible with our community. We will have store bought cookies(covid reasons) and coffee available.

There will be a P/L statement for the fiscal year and the committee application forms in case anyone wants to sign up for a committee at that time. We can also have some records requests available for those that want more detailed data.

Visit the calendar item for the link to the Zoom meeting.

For those that can’t attend a meeting to ask questions. We want you to know we care and will answer your questions if you jot them down and send to the office email. If we can’t answer due to time constraints, we’ll get the answer back to you as soon as we can.

Board Position Status

If you haven’t already heard, a Board of Trustee position became available over the weekend. Sherry Stacy had decided to step down as a board member to pursue more time with her family.

Sherry, we will miss your energy, drive and passion. The work you accomplished to get this board in place was astounding.

Since this announcement to the board and a careful review of our bylaws, we’ve decided to act swiftly in Sherry’s replacement. This board feels strongly that Theresa Parsons will make an invaluable addition to this board. This was appointed this morning via a board poll vote.

Theresa’s knowledge of the water system will be a great benefit to the community. In addition, Theresa’s sound advise, wise and careful thoughts will make this board even stronger. Theresa has already accepted this appointment and will become the Chair Person for the water committee.

Residents:

You might be seeing some signs posted in our community by Thurston County. It is to provide notice of the hearing regarding the Franchise Agreement we applied for. The hearing is scheduled for February 22nd. All the roads in our community are county roads and our water system is installed under those roads. A Franchise Agreement is required for continued use of the county rights of way. Thank you.
