KCL will replace old, worn-out water meters in the development’s general South, SW area for the next few months. This is a relatively quick process, and the contractor will check to see if the resident is home before changing out the meter to ensure no water is being used in the house. It is typically a quick change out and should take 15 minutes to an hour, depending on what is encountered. If they find other problems, it could take longer. A little air may get into your system, so you may hear that air release when you run the water after the meter change, but it will clear up shortly after use. You could also see sediment, but that should also clear up quickly. It is not anticipated that the water system will need to be shut off.
