Scott Lake is privileged to be the home of the ERCU (Electric Radio Controlled Unlimiteds) Diamond Cup for the second year. This exciting event is like our own miniature SeaFair! ERCU is a group of hydroplane enthusiasts racing 1/10 and 1/7 scale models of vintage, classic, and modern era unlimited hydroplanes. They are known as one of the premier fast electric scale unlimited clubs in the world! Because these boats can reach speeds of up to 70mph, the lake will be closed to all other activity for the whole day, dawn to dusk. This is for the safety of all involved. In addition to the race, the Events Committee will host an art station for kids, and SLAMS will offer a concession stand with proceeds supporting this year’s Fishing Derby.
