The Board of Trustees would like to update you on activities about the Community Center events, office, precautions due to Covid-19, and enjoying the park.

First, we are happy to announce that a recruitment for a full-time office Executive Secretary has been done and the Board is excited to welcome Caitlin Magee starting on July 1st. She has lots of experience with a nonprofit organization (Scott Lake Maintenance is registered with the Secretary of State’s Office as a nonprofit) and experience with budgets, computers, and more.

Please make note of the following requirements for the Community Center starting July 1 due to Covid-19:

  • Office hours are now 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be times when brief closures are needed. The office phone number is 360-352-4787 and email is
  • The Community Center is closed for all clubs and rental events for the month of July. The office is not taking reservations for the park shelter for the month of July. The Board will reevaluate what will happen in future months.
  • Entry to the Community Center and office will be by appointment only. Masks are required and a supply of masks and hand sanitizer are available if needed to be allowed into the building. A shield will be at the office door to guard against spreading germs and help with social distancing. These measures are to protect everyone so your cooperation is appreciated.
  • Wearing masks outdoors is required if social distancing is not possible. This includes at the park and other Community owned outdoor spaces. Groups at the park shelter should follow this requirement.

Please enjoy the park while being considerate of everyone there, including children, who are also wanting to enjoy the water, fishing, and all that the park has to offer. The bathrooms at the park will remain closed during the summer. The park is open to property owners, residents, and their guests. It is not open to the general public. Excessive alcohol and cannabis use are not allowed in the park. There have been reports of this, rude behavior, and inappropriate language. Again, please be considerate and thoughtful for your neighbors. This is a great community with many amenities for you, your family, and your neighbor. Let’s keep it that way for everyone to enjoy! Thank you.
